Clay
I find Clay while workable a wonderfully tactile material which can take a good degree of detail even on small pieces. The clay pieces have in most cases been fired to 1050C and if they survive are then coated with shellac and wax polished to finish. In some cases where for some reason a piece was not fired as it was maybe too large for the kiln it has been moulded in Gelflex hot liquid rubber and cast in Plaster or Jesmonite (see separate gallery)
